The 2020 Grey County Kiwanis Festival of Music is CANCELLED.

All classes of the 2020 Grey County Kiwanis Festival of Music are now cancelled.

This difficult decision was reached by the Board of Directors after discussions concerning the effects of low registration numbers due to the labour dispute, plus the closure of schools from March 14 to April 5. Also, given the highly contagious nature of COVID-19, we recognize the importance of limiting public exposure at this time. Maintaining sound public health practices can help to ease the burden on our health care system and protect our vulnerable citizens.

We wish to thank the Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound, the Meaford Kiwanis Club, Tamming Law, Markale IDA/Flesherton Pharmacy, Bayshore Broadcasting and all our registrants, volunteers, advertisers, venues, contractors, sponsors and donors for their ongoing support. We applaud teachers, adjudicators and organizers for their steadfast efforts to make the Festival a success, year after year.

We welcome donations of any kind to offset expenses incurred in setting up the 2020 Festival.

The GCKFM will be contacting all stakeholders about how to proceed with the process of arranging the remaining business of this year, as well as possible additional projects for the future.
