With our new spotlight page the music festival now has the chance to highlight some stories of past, present and up coming musicians who are or were involved in our wonderful event and how it is changing their futures!

Musicians' Spotlight

Susan Robinson, Music teacher, Adjudicator, ORMTA Member

Born in Meaford, Ontario, Susan first studied piano with Esme Crichton of Meaford and then Shirley Hawkins of Owen Sound. The Kiwanis music festival was always the highlight of the year for her, growing up in Grey County. (Read more)

 

Carrie Chassels, Supervisor of Student Services, previously an elementary school music teacher and vice-principal.

Carrie grew up in Meaford, Ontario and attended St. Vincent-Euphrasia Elementary School, Meaford Community School and Georgian Bay Secondary School. (Read more)

Glasspool, Charles, Music teacher, Macphail Memorial Elementary School

Charlie Glasspool grew up in the GMA (Greater Markdale Area) and studied piano with Ruth Magee of Markdale and fondly remembers his appearances at the Grey County Kiwanis Festival of Music.   (Read more)
