The 89th Annual Grey County Kiwanis Festival of Music!

Festival Dates:  April 5-16, 2021
Festival of Stars Awards Concert: Tuesday, April 27, 2021

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Extended to Tuesday, March 16, 2021
(YouTube link must be entered at time of registration.)

1. Participants must upload their video* to YouTube and include the link during registration. (Recording quality will not influence adjudication.)
2. All participants will receive a written adjudication, class certificate, and are eligible for awards, scholarships, and provincial recommendation.
3. Recorded accompaniment will be allowed in all classes.
4. The Festival is only offering solo, duet, and trio classes this year.

*Video must be ready in order to complete registration and a check box for authorization of video viewing by Festival  & adjudicators is mandatory.
An optional ‘public release’ of video check box is also provided for inclusion in Festival award showcases and promos.
The YouTube video can be either public or private but the “Kids for YouTube” setting must be turned OFF.


Dorothy Wakeford Memorial Donation:
Due to a generous donation in memory of Dorothy Wakeford (1917-1999), the Grey County Kiwanis Festival of Music is able to offer reduced class fees for the Virtual Festival in 2021. Dorothy served for many years as the Festival’s Secretary/Manager and was very active in the local music community.

Certificates and Awards

All participants will receive a written a written adjudication and certificate, and are eligible for awards, scholarships, and provincial recommendation.
Gold, Silver or Bronze certificates will be awarded, instead of First, Second, Third.
All participants will also receive their actual mark.

Gold Standard (85-100) Exceptional, Highly Skilled, Outstanding Performance
Silver Standard (80-84) Skilled, Excellent Performance
Bronze Standard (75-79) Agreeable Performance
Participant (Below 75)

Festival of Stars awards will remain the same. Adjudicators will select the participants they feel are most worthy of recognition for Festival awards, scholarships, and/or Provincial OMFA recommendation.

Provincial Recommendations: Our gold standard meets the Provincial competition mark requirement. We look forward to sponsoring our recommendations!
